Grigor Dimitrov started with a win his participation in the "Masters 1000" tournament in Montreal. At the start the best Bulgarian tennis player won with 2:0 sets over the qualifier Alexandr Dolgopolov in different parts 6:4, 7:5 after nearly two hours of game.
So Grigor recorded a third win from four matches mentioned by 11livescore against this opponent, and at the second round in Montreal expects Jack Sock, which deal in three sets in a match against Adrian Mannarino.
The match last night has started more than an hour late because of the rain over Montreal. In the first moments Dimitrov had serious difficulties and had to save break points at almost every game-serve. At crucial moments, however the Bulgarian found his best punches and did not allow the opponent to lead. For the first time Grigor reached break points in the tenth game of the set and he managed to take an advantage and to attack the opponent - 6:4.
At the beginning of the second part Grigor also had break points, but this time Dolgopolov responded appropriately, didn`t give his submission. At the next moments the Ukrainian finally managed to break the serve of Dimitrov and for the first time in the game lead (2:1). Moreover - a seventh game Dolgopolov had a second break point and advance 5:2, but he failed.
Serving for the set at 5:4 Dolgopolov again showed fluctuations (as at the end of the first set) and allowed Grisha "to catch the last train" and to stay in the set. The Bulgarian did not wait for a second invitation, tying the score for 5:5, and to the end inflicted an another crushing blow over the derail Ukrainian - 6:4, 7:5 and a place in the second round.
We remain that last year Grigor Dimitrov reached the semifinals of "Rogers Cup", where he was stopped by the future champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
