The Argentinian beat his big rival Cristiano Ronaldo in the ranking, won the award last year.
The third place was for the teammate of Messi in Barcelona, Luis Suarez.
54 journalists participated in the poll who pointed out the winner. The award has been around for 2011, and Messi won it for the second time.
A German woman Celia Sasic was chosen as the best among the women last season.

Pedro`s agent: `Chelsea was faster.`

Draksler may leave Schalke

Difficult, but sweet victory for Grigor Dimitrov

Toulouse turned St Etienne with two free kick goals

Adama Traore is going to fly from Barca to Liverpool for medical tests
