When forming the F1 calendar, the Canadian Grand Prix is going to be paired with the Miami Grand Prix - and these races will be held back-to-back. This will significantly save financial costs and reduce the burden on the staff of Formula 1 teams.
The season will begin in 2025 at the Australian Grand Prix. It is expected that races will follow in China and Japan, after which Formula 1 will come to the Middle East - to stages in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The F-1 statement also notes that such changes will help reduce the number of required flights and, as a result, reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
At the same time, it is not yet clear how holding the race in Canada on these dates will affect the situation with attracting the attention of spectators from North America. On the fourth weekend of May, one of the most famous races in the world is traditionally held - the Indianapolis 500 Mile, which has a cult status in the United States. In this regard, it is believed that holding a weekend in Canada in parallel with the Indy 500 could negatively affect Formula 1 TV ratings.
